World's heaviest woman, Eman Ahmed, who weighed 500 kilos, was flown to Mumbai in the month of February for treatment. However, after her sister accused the Saifee hospital of improper treatment, she was flown for further treatment to Abu Dhabi. Although Eman lost about 330 kilos with her treatment in Mumbai, transferring her to Abu Dhabi seemed fatal. Eman passed away at 4.35 am on 25th September as a result of heart disease and kidney dysfunction.
Eman Ahmed was an Egyptian national who suffered from a rare thyroid disorder since her childhood.
As a result, she gained immense weight, which finally led her to undergo surgery to ensure she continues to survive.
Eman was thus bought to Mumbai's Saifee hospital to undergo a weight-loss surgery in February.
Eman lost as much as 330 kilos during her treatment, but her sister claimed the hospital was making false claims and her sister hadn't lost any weight at all.
She also filmed a secret video where she claimed that Eman was used by the hospital doctors for mere publicity.

The doctors however rubbished the claims and stated the family wasn't even charged for the treatment.
“We have not asked for a single penny from Eman's family. We are happy that we did bring her weight down,” stated Dr. Lakdawala. According to reports, Eman's treatment cost over Rs. 3 Crore and over Rs. 65 Lakh was donated by other people.
After much disagreement, Eman was shifted from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi in the month of May.
During her treatment in UAE, a media report had even claimed that Eman was seen 'dancing on her bed' just last month. Eman however failed to make it through!
